Azkena Rock Festival finalizes its lineup and presents the daily schedule, featuring legendary John Fogerty, who will perform all the classics from his repertoire in his only show in Spain. Also exclusive to the festival are Manic Street Preachers and The Flaming Lips, who will perform Yoshimi Battles the Pink Robots in its entirety. Other highlights include the iconic Lucinda Williams, the 30th anniversary of The Hellacopters, and newly announced Dinosaur Jr, performing Without a Sound. Following the success of the 2024 edition, Txiki ARF returns as a family-friendly space, and the lineup for the Virgen Blanca stage has been revealed. The 23rd edition of Azkena Rock Festival will take place on June 19, 20, and 21 in Mendizabala, Vitoria-Gasteiz.

Azkena Rock Festival kicks off with Dinosaur Jr., performing their classic 1994 album Without a Sound in full, along with other fan favorites. Joining them are The Damned, pioneers of British punk, featuring a classic lineup responsible for albums like The Black Album (1980) and Strawberries (1982). The unmistakable voice of Melissa Etheridge, a rock icon since the late ’80s, will add to the excitement. The day continues with the infectious punk melodies of Buzzcocks, the heartfelt rock of Quique González, the intensity of Libe, and the dark, psychedelic sound of Masters of Reality. At Trashville, expect the garage rock madness of Wau y los Arrrghs!!!, medieval hardcore from Fléau, the explosive Italian party energy of Gogoponies, and the Latin rhythms of Mambo Rambo. DJ El Chico will close out the night with a high-energy set.

Diamond Dogs & Chris Spedding will pay tribute to Little Richard, and Kaotiko will celebrate their 25th anniversary with top-tier Basque punk. La Estrella Azul will perform music from the film of the same name, paying homage to the legacy of Más Birras. Psilicon Flesh will blend metal, pop, and grunge, while Reckless Kelly debuts in Spain with their red dirt country sound. Robert Jon & The Wreck will bring electrifying Southern rock, and Sarria will showcase their fresh take on Spanish pop-rock. Eh, Mertxe! will shake things up with their rebellious attitude, while Ezezez will prove why they’re a rising band to watch. The Lemon Twigs will present their sophisticated pop rock, and The Pill, a feminine duo from the Isle of Wight, will deliver a fresh, youthful punk sound. At Trashville, expect the primitive rock of The Neanderthals, the chaotic noise of The Devils, the absurdity of The Sex-Organs, and the explosive punk of Wallaroos. In the heart of the Green Capital, the iconic Plaza de la Virgen Blanca becomes the soul of the festival, blending live music, gastronomy, and a vibrant atmosphere. From the vermouth hour, attendees can enjoy free-access concerts, kicking off two energy-packed days of rock & roll.
On Friday, the spotlight will be on Kitty, Daisy & Lewis, the British sibling trio that fuses R&B, swing, country, and blues with unstoppable energy. As multi-instrumentalists, they master everything from guitar and piano to harmonica and trombone. Their live performance is pure magic—an irresistible sonic journey.
On Saturday, the stage belongs to Laurie Wright, a London-based singer-songwriter who has won over artists like Liam Gallagher and Pete Doherty. His career took off during the pandemic, and after winning The Libertines’ Talented Fans contest, his rise has been unstoppable. Now, he arrives in Vitoria-Gasteiz to prove why he is one of the most promising names in pub rock and the mod revival.
Txiki ARF: Azkena’s Family-Friendly Zone
Each year, more families join the Azkena Rock Festival experience, and for them, Txiki ARF is back, a space designed for families to enjoy rock together. With concerts, workshops, and children’s activities, this meeting point invites attendees to share unique moments filled with riffs and fun. Each day will feature three concerts, reviving classic hits from legendary artists who have played the festival. Between performances, there will be air guitar contests and rock bingo, with prizes for the audience, as well as workshops to create custom pins and guitar picks, and a rock-inspired face-painting area. This family-friendly universe will take over Trashville’s second tent on Friday and Saturday during the early afternoon hours.
