Playing on home turf, Old Time Spooks are a hillbilly punk band formed in Vitoria-Gasteiz in 2022 with the aim of taking the streetwise spirit of American roots music wherever the road leads them. Armed with banjo, resonator guitar, washboard and washtub bass, they blend punk energy and Appalachian folklore with irony-laced tales of horror, gore and B-movies. Following Creepy and Weird Tales and Cuchillo. Sangre. Muerte. Ataúd., in 2026 they added Tierra. Gusanos. Lápida. Flor. to their own peculiar musical graveyard. They’ll present their latest release at Mendizabala with a frantic, dark and hugely entertaining live show.
