OPERATION OF THE ACCREDITATION SYSTEM
1. CLAUSES TO BE ELIGIBLE FOR ACCREDITATION
1.1 REQUIREMENTS TO BE FULFILLED
- Prior publication or broadcasting of information about the festival is essential in order to apply for accreditation.
- Accreditations may only be requested through the press section of www.azkenarockfestival.com. At no time will any telephone or email enquiries regarding accreditation applications be dealt with.
- No freelancers will be accredited. All accredited persons must belong to a specific media outlet.
- The following limits on the number of accreditations per media outlet must be respected. Otherwise, applications exceeding this limit will be rejected.
1.2. ACCREDITATION LIMITS
- In the case of radio and websites, there will be a limit of one accreditation per medium. In the case of the written press, there will be a limit of two accreditations each, one for photographers and one for editors. Two editors will not be accepted for the same written media.
- In the case of television, there shall be a maximum of three accreditations per medium. One of them must be an editor.
- The number of photographers allowed by the bands and the organisation of the Azkena Rock Festival is limited, so the organisation will have to make a selection. The organisation will provide quality photographs to the media that are denied photographer accreditation.
denied accreditation as a photographer.
1.3. DECISIONS
On Friday 7 June, accredited media whose applications have been approved will be notified by email.
This accreditation does not guarantee that these photographers and broadcasters will be able to photograph and/or film all the performances at the festival, as each band has its own rules and accreditations in this respect, and it is the management of each band who has the final say on which media can photograph and/or film.
The organisers will contact each of the accredited photographers and/or broadcasters by email a few days in advance to confirm which concerts can and cannot be photographed and filmed.
2. HOW TO APPLY FOR ACCREDITATION
2.1. On the dates indicated (21th April until 9.00 a.m. on 31st May 2024), we will activate an accreditation application form in this section.
2.2. The accreditation application form will appear. You have to fill in all fields of the form. One form must be filled in per person. When you have completed it, click on SEND. It is very important that the e-mail address you include in the form is checked frequently. Many of the informational communications to accreditation holders will be made by e-mail. You will then be shown a screen indicating whether the application has been successful.
2.3. Decisions on applications received will be made public as described in point 1.3 below.
2.4. If your application is rejected, there will be no possibility to appeal.
3. COLLECTION OF ACCREDITATIONS
Accreditations will be collected during the festival, on 20, 21 and 22 June 2024, at the accreditation desk at the Azkena Rock Festival site, presenting the accreditation that you will receive by email.
4. NOTES
Press accreditation will not give access to the VIP area, artists’ dressing rooms or exclusive areas for organisation staff. There will be no accreditation for press vehicles. If any accredited person fails to comply with any of these rules, the organisation reserves the right to withdraw the accreditation.

AZKENA ROCK FESTIVAL
The Azkena Rock Festival, known as ARF by its loyal fans, is the quintessential rock n’ roll festival, a must for those who love rock in all its senses. ‘Burning since 2002,’ ARF has been making rock n’ roll history for two decades by featuring some of the genre’s biggest international stars.
The festival has featured classics from the likes of Bob Dylan, Patti Smith, The Who, Kiss, Iggy & The Stooges, Ozzy Osbourne, Sex Pistols, Gregg Allman, Brian Setzer, Alice Cooper, Deep Purple, New York Dolls, The Pogues and MC5, to some of the most relevant contemporary artists and bands like Chris Isaak, Slash, Pearl Jam, The Black Crowes, Wilco, My Morning Jacket, Queens of the Stone Age, Juliette Lewis and Wolfmother. If we combined the names of all the bands that have graced the Mendizabala and La Virgen Blanca stages, we would have a crystal-clear picture of the grandeur of the festival and the history of rock over the last 50 years.
