The Del Fuegos burst onto the scene in the early ’80s with their roots‑driven rock, leaving an indelible mark through a mix of raw guitars, infectious melodies and a true barroom spirit. Formed by brothers Dan and Warren Zanes, the former has long led the band from the stage while the latter — an essayist, biographer and university lecturer — has become a key cultural voice in rock’s intellectual landscape. Warren is the author of Tom Petty’s official biography and the essay that inspired the recent Bruce Springsteen biopic, Springsteen: Deliver Me From Nowhere.
