With his heart firmly rooted in punk and his eyes on the great American songwriting tradition, Dave Hause has spent years proving that a great song can hit just as hard with an acoustic guitar as it can with a full band. After cutting his teeth in Philadelphia’s punk scene with The Loved Ones, he embarked on a solo career where roots rock, Americana, folk and punk come together in songs about family, loss, hope and survival. Albums such as Resolutions, Devour and Drive It Like It’s Stolen have cemented a voice that is unmistakably his own, honest and unvarnished. At Azkena Rock Festival, Hause will arrive armed with songs made to be sung at the top of your lungs, reminding us that before any label comes rock & roll.
