American heavy metal icons Corrosion of Conformity arrive at the festival as a prelude to their upcoming double album of covers, Riffissippi Studio Jam Sessions, which has already kicked off with a fiery take on Free’s “Fire and Water” (1970). Formed in Raleigh, North Carolina, in 1982, the band evolved from hardcore punk origins into a southern/sludge metal force defined by dark atmospheres, fractured riffs and an uncompromising vision. At Mendizabala, they will unleash an unstoppable metal machine rooted in past, present and future — splintering riffs, dense soundscapes and the unshakable truth that true metal still roars.
