Hailing from the Basque Country, BARRRK push rock into rougher territory, bringing heavy guitars and distortion together with a direct, stripped-back attitude. The Basque-language band move between stoner, grunge and alternative rock, building their songs around dense riffs and a powerful rhythmic backbone that comes fully into its own on stage. With Euskara forming part of their identity, BARRRK belong to a new generation of local bands expanding the boundaries of rock made in the Basque Country. At Azkena Rock Festival, they’ll bring Mendizabala a concentrated dose of distortion, volume and seriously heavy guitars.
