Marilyn Manson became one of the most recognisable figures in American rock during the 1990s, taking industrial metal and shock rock into the mainstream. Antichrist Superstar, Mechanical Animals and Holy Wood (In the Shadow of the Valley of Death) defined his most influential period and established a formula in which music, image and provocation were inseparable. Songs such as “The Beautiful People”, “The Dope Show” and his version of “Sweet Dreams (Are Made of This)” helped define a generation and left a lasting mark on alternative rock and metal. More than three decades into his career, Marilyn Manson will make his first appearance at Azkena Rock Festival. Darkness, theatricality and a catalogue that defined an era will arrive at Mendizabala.
