Behind a motorcycle helmet, a sequinned jumpsuit and a telephone turned into a microphone lurks Bob Log III, one of the most wonderfully unclassifiable characters in underground blues and rock & roll. Armed with little more than his slide guitar and a drum kit played with his feet, the Arizona musician has spent decades turning Delta blues into a spectacle of primitive garage, frantic riffs and absurd humour. His one-man-band set-up makes every show an unpredictable experience where virtuosity collides with chaos and audience participation. At Azkena Rock Festival, he’ll prove that you don’t need a full band to throw a proper blues-punk party: six strings, two feet and very little desire to behave.
