Azkena Rock Festival announces its lineup and presents the schedule for each day of its 24th edition

On the last day, featuring a particularly diverse lineup, Social Distortion will return after their visit in 2022 to present Born To Kill, their first album in fifteen years, and to offer a lesson in classic rock & roll, country, and blues from Mike Ness and his band. Carpenter Brut will arrive in Mendizabala to conquer rock souls with his recognizable electronic sound, in which synthesizers are mixed with the most industrial metal, and (former Drive-by-Truckers) Jason Isbell and the 400 Unit will demonstrate why he is considered a key figure in today’s alternative country scene. Alcalá Norte will prove themselves to be much more than just a promising band, Sleaford Mods will review the uncomfortable truths of our society with irony and post-punk, Superchunk will delight lovers of the most honest power pop, Discharge will sound devastating with their veteran mix of hardcore d-beat, and Therapy? will perform their most acclaimed album, Troublegum, in its entirety. Street punk will also be present in Mendizabala courtesy of Split Dogs, as well as cow punk by Vandoliers, and new wave and glam aesthetics by Starbenders. Lepora’s powerful Basque rock and Rodeo’s stoner rock will represent local talent on the last day. The most hypnotic synth-punk will be performed at Trashville by Cuir, and there will also be horror punk and psychobilly frequencies from Bloodsucking Zombies from Outer Space, subversive folk-punk from Bridge City Sinners, as well as a bizarre performance led by Capitán Entresijos feat Garganta Profunda and rock from another dimension by Twin Ghosts.

Day tickets are now available at a promotional price for 48 hours, until Friday, March 13 at 12:00 noon, and passes are still available at azkenarockfestival.com. You can also purchase the Gaztea Pass (€100 + fees, for those under 23), and the Cuadrilla Pass, designed for groups of friends who are loyal fans of the festival (when you buy 5 passes, you get 6). For this edition, the option to purchase in installments remains, and admission will be free for children under 14.

This year, the festival has increased the frequency and number of buses to and from the festival, offering organized trips from nearby cities such as Altsasu, Arrasate, Barakaldo, Bilbao, Burgos, Donostia, Errentería, Getxo, Irún, Miranda de Ebro, Pamplona, Portugalete, Rentería, and Zarautz.
